This blog is a lame attempt to keep up with my kids. I plan to post only spradically and will hopefully send an email alert to anyone who may be interested in seeing the post.
Since we decided to drive across Canada to Alaska in the summer of 2012, we have been looking for a small camper for the two of us and Peni. We found that used specimans of this type of camper are rare, seldom sold, and when sold don't stay on the market long. After 6 months of looking and a couple of near misses, I found one near Longmont. This felt like home so we grabbed it a few hours after it hit the internet. I made a quick one day trip to Colorado and got it.
Kids have been asking for a picture of it. So,
It is a 2000 SunLite. Very light. Very basic. Mary says very little storage. These are sometimes called "Four Wheel Campers". But really in good shape. It has a two burner stove, three way refrigerator, furnace, queen size bed over the cab, sink, table and space for a porta-potti. The sink, stove and refrigerator look like they have never been used. It has no air conditioner, but it does have a neat fan on top that opens up and can run either out or in. It is a popup and when the top is up, there is 6' 6" of headroom.
We hope to take shake down trip this summer to get it tuned up for the next summer. We hope to live in it for maybe 9 weeks.
